EMS Unlimited Launches Two New Contracts in One Busy Summer
RIFLE, Colo. — EMS Unlimited, a paramedic-owned ambulance and medical transport company, closed out one of the busiest stretches in company history this summer, standing up a Department of Defense ambulance contract at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, on July 1 and a municipal 911 contract in Aurora, Nebraska, on Aug. 18. Both launches add Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) coverage to communities EMS Unlimited had not previously served, extending the company's footprint across its five-state operating area of Colorado, Nebraska, Kansas, Arizona, and Montana.

At Fort Leavenworth, EMS Unlimited now provides ambulance services in support of the installation under a Department of Defense contract. Getting an ALS unit staffed and credentialed for a military installation is not a light lift: dispatch protocol development, transport and destination planning, and Emergency Medical Dispatcher (EMD) credentialing preceded the first shift. Diego Vargas leads clinical and compliance oversight for the station, working alongside Army medical staff to align EMS Unlimited's protocols with the installation's own standards.
“It is an honor and a privilege to serve the men and women who serve our country. The soldiers and families at Fort Leavenworth deserve the same standard of care we bring to every community EMS Unlimited serves, and that's exactly what our crews are there to provide.” Ebin Latrimurti, Paramedic and President of EMS Unlimited
Answering the Call in Aurora, Nebraska

In Aurora, EMS Unlimited became the city's 911 ambulance provider on Aug. 18, bringing Advanced Life Support and Basic Life Support coverage to a community EMS Unlimited is proud to now call part of its service area. Rebekah Osman came on board as Program Director to lead the buildout, overseeing everything from crew hiring and scene and interfacility transport (IFT) protocols to the rate schedules and equipment needed to bring a new base fully operational. The Aurora launch reflects a pattern EMS Unlimited has repeated in Kansas and Nebraska for years: show up, hire locally, and build the clinical infrastructure a community can count on before the first unit answers a call.
“Aurora is part of our family now. When someone calls 911, they're trusting us with the worst moment of their life. That's a responsibility we take seriously in every community we serve, and our commitment to Aurora is no exception.” Ebin Latrimurti, Paramedic and President of EMS Unlimited
Two Launches, One Summer
Seven weeks separated the two go-live dates, and both required the same groundwork under compressed timelines: staffing, credentialing, protocol development, and coordination with local and federal partners. For a paramedic-owned company built one station at a time since its first transport out of a Hayden, Colorado garage in 2019, the back-to-back launches mark continued growth into new service areas and new kinds of partnerships, from municipal 911 coverage to federal installation support.
EMS Unlimited plans to continue expanding its ALS, BLS, and Critical Care Transport (CCT) capabilities across its operating states in the months ahead — because for a company built on showing up, the work doesn't stop at one summer. It's about doing it again tomorrow.
